TCL’s entry-level Q6 QLED TV has fallen to a new low price for a limited time

Here at The Verge, we spend a lot of time reporting on pristine, high-end TV sets — including the latest panels from Sony, LG, and Samsung. That said, not everyone is in the market for a picture-perfect OLED panel or one purpose-built to reduce glare. Thankfully, TCL’s 65-inch Q6 QLED is a more economical option, one you can grab at Amazon and Best Buy today for $449.99 ($250 off), its lowest price to date.

Despite being TCL’s entry-level Q Class panel, the Q6 offers a lot for its budget-friendly price tag. The quantum dot-enabled 4K panel is bright and color-accurate, with solid black levels and vivid color that should shine no matter what you’re watching. It features Google’s terrific TV interface and built-in Chromecast functionality as well, allowing you to peruse streaming recommendations from your favorite services and cast content from your phone or laptop over Wi-Fi. It certainly isn’t the most gamer-friendly set TCL offers — that would be the step-up Q7 or Q8 — though it does include what TCL calls “Game Accelerator 120,” which pushes the refresh rate to 120Hz while halving the vertical resolution to 1080p. Sure, it’s not native 120Hz, but you’d be hard-pressed to find smoother performance in a 65-inch panel for about $450.

For the past six months or so, Anker’s boxy power station has been my go-to charger for camping, BBQs, and other outdoor activities where a 10,000mAh battery pack simply won’t cut it. Like other Anker models, the 522 features an integrated LED light bar and display, which lets you see the remaining battery capacity, input / output power, and other useful info at a glance. The big selling point, however, is the battery’s 299Wh capacity, as well as a vast array of charging ports that let you top off your phone, laptop, tablet, drone, or really any other piece of tech you have on hand (including small appliances). This includes a car outlet and a USB-A port along with a pair of AC and USB-C ports for charging up to six devices.
