Some of Ikea’s Matter-compatible smart devices are now available in the US

Four of the five smart sensors announced in November can now be integrated into your smart home setup. However, if you were planning to overall your home’s lighting you’ll still have to wait, as Ikea’s new simplified Kajplats smart bulb collection hasn’t launched here yet.

We also now know how the new hardware will be priced in the US, which wasn’t previously shared. The Myggspray indoor / outdoor wireless motion sensor that can trigger lights is $9.99, as is the Klippbok water sensor that can be placed under appliances to detect and alert you to leaks through notifications and its own audible alarm. The Myggbett door / window sensor that can trigger lights or notifications when they’re opened or closed is cheaper at $7.99, but the Alpstuga, Ikea’s first air quality sensor that can measure CO2 and the level of airborne PM2.5 particles in your home, is $29.99.

Ikea’s US website also now lists the colorful three-pack of the two-button version of its new Bilresa remote for $19.99, but it’s currently shown as “Sold out online” and not available in any of its US retail locations.
