Fujifilm is raising the prices of its cameras again

Just two weeks after raising the prices of its cameras by up to $800, Fujifilm is warning customers about another increase for US customers. In a statement provided to DPReview, the Japanese company says it will “further adjust prices” as it contends with “volatile market conditions.”

The change will go into effect on August 30th, but there still aren’t many details about the specifics, including how many cameras or lenses it will affect and how much prices will increase by. Fujifilm tells DPReview that the price hike won’t impact the newly-released X half and X-E5, which are priced at $850 and $1,699, respectively.

Last month, President Donald Trump reached a trade deal with Japan that will subject imports from the country to a 15 percent tariff. “As we navigate the current market situation, Fujifilm is doing all we can to work with our retailers and consumers to weather this storm together,” the company’s statement says.
