Nomad’s minimalist MagSafe wallet has a tracking card built in

Nomad already sells a line of leather wallets that can be bundled with the company’s Apple-compatible Tracking Card, allowing them to be located if misplaced. The company’s new Leather Mag Wallet is its first to instead feature the tracker’s electronics built right in, so you don’t need to sacrifice a card slot in order to be able to find it.

The Nomad Tracking Card is already one of the thinnest trackers on the market at 1.7mm thick, but the company further slimmed it down by ditching the card’s outer shell and integrating all of its electronics into the new Leather Mag Wallet’s internal polycarbonate frame. So the wallet, which is now available for $80 and made from either black or rustic brown Horween leather, is just 9mm thick with its battery.

The functionality of the Leather Mag Wallet remains the same as Nomad’s Tracking Card, with up to five months of battery life that can be extended using any Qi or MagSafe wireless charger. The wallet is compatible with Apple’s Find My network, and while it has a range of up to 150 feet, it doesn’t support the ultra wideband (UWB) technology found in AirTags, so you’ll have to rely on triggering an audible alarm to pinpoint its exact location when it’s nearby.

The wallet can hold up to four cards in its single pocket, which uses an internal spring mechanism to hold them securely, even if you’re only carrying one card. It’s also MagSafe compatible, so you can stick it to the back of your iPhone or other smartphones that support magnetic wireless chargers, giving you an extra layer of security if you’re better at not losing your phone than your wallet.
