Opal’s tiny, laptop-friendly Tadpole webcam is already 20 percent off

Unlike Opal’s first webcam, the C1, the Tadpole provides a smooth experience right out of the gates. Opal’s second effort features an adjustable clip that fits most laptop displays, along with a half-inch, 48-megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor, an f/1.8 lens, and the ability to capture video up to 4K. It’s also relatively small, measuring a mere 1.25 inches in both dimensions, which makes it easy to take with you on the go if you want better video quality than your laptop’s built-in webcam can provide. The better hardware, combined with the camera’s easy setup process and the fact it works on both Windows and Mac, makes it a nice option if you’re looking for an upgrade and don’t need a webcam for your desktop monitor.

At this point, it’s safe to say that many of the more noteworthy deals we saw in the immediate aftermath of Black Friday and Cyber Monday have up and vanished. Luckily, we’ve seen several notable discounts crop up in the time since, one of which being Google’s latest discount on the Pixel Watch 2. Normally $399.99, you can still grab the terrific Android wearable at Amazon, Best Buy, and the Google Store in the base Wi-Fi configuration starting at just $299.99 ($50 off).

By all accounts, the Google Pixel Watch 2 is a better smartwatch than its first-gen predecessor. Google outfitted the second-gen model with faster charging, better battery life, an improved processor, and more cohesive Fitbit integration, along with a new Safety Check feature that will automatically send your location to a loved one in the event you don’t check in on time. Best of all, it provides the same experience regardless of what Android phone you’re using — something that can’t be said of Samsung’s latest Galaxy Watch lineup and most other watches.
