The best Prime Day deals you can still grab on Verge-favorite 4K Blu-rays

Here at The Verge, we love physical media, and we know many of you do as well. That’s why it’s our duty to share the news that many great 4K Blu-ray and standard Blu-ray movies, TV shows, and box sets are on sale for Prime Day. Amazon is currently offering a ton of great Blu-ray deals (including a “buy two, get one free” deal), but if you’d rather shop elsewhere, other retailers have an excellent selection of deals, too. Now until tonight at 12AM ET, for example, Target is running a “buy two, get one free” promo. Barnes & Noble, meanwhile, is hosting a big sale on Criterion Collection classics through July 27th.

One thing to note — and you may already be aware of this — is that you need a 4K Blu-ray player to play 4K Blu-rays. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X can both serve as a basic option, but we thought you’d like to know that Panasonic’s solid UB420-K 4k Blu-ray player is also down to $235.99 (normally $250) at Amazon when you clip the coupon for an additional $5.03 off.

    Some other great Blu-ray recs

Update, July 11: Updated to reflect current pricing / availability and a new deal for Akira.
