Unsurprisingly, the holidays have always been a terrific opportunity to save on the latest title or revisit the classics you may have missed, often for far less than their usual asking price. But while Steam’s winter sale has come and gone — taking its terrific Diablo IV discount along with it — there’s still time to take advantage of Epic Games’ annual holiday sale, which runs until January 10th at 11AM ET.

The full list of eligible titles is exhaustive, to be honest, but there are a couple of newer PC games worth highlighting. If you’re looking for a very heady third-person shooter with some Twin Peaks vibes that pulls out all the stops when it comes to ray tracing, for instance, Alan Wake 2 is on sale for $39.99 ($10 off) with a free copy of Alan Wake Remastered. Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition is also down to $53.59 ($26 off), which is a terrific price considering the Ultimate Edition includes both the base game and its new Phantom Liberty expansion. Then, there’s The Last of Us Part I, which is available for $40.19 (about $20 off) for a limited time.

It’s also worth noting that Epic brought Epic Coupons to its ongoing holiday sale, which allows you to take 33 percent off any transaction that costs $14.99 or more. That means, if you haven’t applied it yet, you can save some serious cash on all of the aforementioned games — including Alan Wake 2, which can be had for a cool $26.79.

Samsung’s first unpacked event of 2024 is right around the corner, which means we’re likely to get all the details on the new S24 series before the month is out. (Hell, you can already place a reservation for the new devices sight unseen.) That said, there’s nothing wrong with opting for a competent midrange phone over the latest and greatest handset, which is what makes today’s discount on the Google Pixel 7A worth noting. Right now, you can pick up the excellent phone at Amazon, Best Buy, and the Google Store for $399 ($100 off), a price that nearly matches its all-time low of $374.

When it comes down to it, Google’s Pixel 7A is the best Android phone you can get for under $500 right now. It uses the same Tensor G2 chipset found in the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, which is still plenty fast despite the arrival of the new G3 chip, as well as a healthy 8GB of RAM. The 6.1-inch phone also comes with a smooth 90Hz OLED display, an IP67 rating for resistance against dust and water, and flagship-esque features (including wireless charging). The kicker is the 64-megapixel main camera with optical stabilization, which, while not quite on par with today’s flagship cameras, easily outshines every other shooter in its price range.
